Chinese New Year

I am turning into the Chinese version of Scrooge. Whilst Scrooge abhors Christmas, I abhor the clank-clank gaiety of this red season. A holiday – for us working people – is a time of rest and mucho sleep. Who the hell needs to be interrupted by well-wishers whom I see quarterly???

Half day work today. Leaving at 1pm for some basketball (actually, it’s just me and the hoop) and exercise. It looks cloudy and sulky outside. I hope it turns hot and sunny and spicy. The joys of having half-day off.
